Assopiuma: objectives and activities

Assopiuma is a trademark whose products are numbered and whose label is protected by a series of ad hoc regulations. Assopiuma is currently promoting sales and advertising campaigns for feather and down-filled products.

Assopiuma organises meetings, provides information material for mass circulation and specialised press. It is present with its own stands in trade exhibitions in Italy and encourages research into new applications in the feather and down industry.

Assopiuma has been awarded a major international recognition: the Presidency and Secretariat of CEN TC 222 and Workgroup 1 that drew up the European Standard for testing methods on feather and down as filling material for any article, as well as finished articles filled with feather and down.

Assopiuma is actively cooperating with Trade Associations, Universities and UNITEX for standardisation within UNI, with whom Assopiuma has also published a specialist glossary.

In addition, Assopiuma is involved in promoting and training activities and the monitoring of standardisation work.
